Hi everyone, I’m Natalie, a true crime enthusiast living in Scotland. I started this blog back in 2018 (EIGHT YEARS AGO) mainly just to document my interest in cases I found particularly fascinating, tell the stories of the victims as best as I could, and get the word out to my little corner of the internet about lesser known cases.
When I first started I didn’t really have hopes of my blog becoming particularly big or influential - I was really just doing it as a hobby. Then my Instagram started to grow, people started sending me true crime books in case I wanted to review them, and I was getting a decent amount of web traffic from around the world. I thought maybe I could make a go of this as a career, so along with whatever part time job I had at the time, I spent my days researching and writing articles, and then started a podcast (which you can find in the navigation bar above).
The podcast was moderately successful and people liked it. However, due to being a bit of a perfectionist and running the entire operation (the recording, editing and promotion) all my own, I quickly burned myself out and started to find reasons to avoid what I once really enjoyed, which to this day I still find sad. Maybe the podcast will come back one day, but for now my aim is to just get into the swing of researching and writing again.
At the moment I’m going through my older articles, re-reading them and implementing any necessary updates. Making sure links work, getting rid of ugly ads. I hope to start releasing new pieces very soon.
For now, I won’t be making any income from this work, so if you’d like to support me, you can buy me a coffee.
These pieces are for me and for you, dear readers. I hope you enjoy (to the degree one can “enjoy” murder). Please be gentle with me and my writing, I’m a little rusty.
You can find me on Facebook and Instagram at the links below. :)
